During the Windstorm last week, we lost power for 3 1/2 days. It was a neat experience that our family learned alot from. We enjoyed the forced family time and God really gave the opportunity to see a different perspective and how lucky we are no matter what our circumstances are. Steve enjoyed taking care of breakfast each morning on our little camping stove outside. We would bundle up at night and sleep in the same room to keep the heat. I had to throw out over $300 worth of food from the fridge and freezer. Even still it was something that brought us together. Ben even asked if we could have the lights off once or twice a week. We played games, read together, talked and went to bed early. Steve and I were really happy about the much needed rest. Although much of the area will still be recovering for awhile, the power crews from all over the US did a great job in restoring power to all.
