January 10th brought extremely cold air and would you believe it, SNOW! Normally, IF we get snow it is just a dusting, little ice and then gone in a few hours. The weatherman had been saying snow was heading our way, but we were unaware at how much we would get. At about 6:30pm that night it started pouring snow. Big beautiful snowflakes hit the already frozen ground. This top picture is after just an hour there was almost 3 inches. These are the neighbor's tire tracks. The next picture is of our house covered in this snow that by the end of the night had reach just over 5 inches!
THis table is on our porch in the backyard. It was left out there from the windstorm and we just hadn't put it away yet. Steve measured the snow on the table and it has several inches on it. It was funny to see all of toys and such in our yard slowing disappear into a peaceful white. I love it when it snows. Everything was so quiet and serene. With this storm, school for both Steve and Ben was cancelled for Thursday and Friday. Today is the 15th and what was supposed to be the start of a warm up week has now changed to be cold and snowy. THey are telling us that we are expected to get 1-3 inches tonight and into tomorrow for our area. WOW!!!
